RETREAT 24-25 : ONE YEAR LATER ⭐️

SUMMARY:: πŸ‘ΊπŸ‘Ί

- The day before the retreat I kinda was sorta uncertain and nervous for it. . .  I genuinely don't know why but I guess it was just a feeling. In addition the day before retreat I literally waited last minute ... but I got almost everything... EXCEPT MY BANANAS . lol! Anyways It's pretty unreal to me that well the og 7th graders from last year, were back at the retreat house! Not as 7th graders but as 8th graders who've experienced this entire program before. It's unreal to see how different things are compared to a year ago. But honestly, I don't mind at all. I'm glad that some things sorta stayed the same as last year. Like how Gabby played ukulele to us. This year I brought my ukulele and played it to a few of the 7th and 8th graders. :3

DAY ONE: The first day was pretty fun and sorta silly Anyways some of my favorite things about that day was creating the posters of our weaknesses, strengths, summer and quarter 1. WE DREW THE RED LARVAA (olibibuuh,,,,,, oi oi oii) hehe. ALSO MY OTHER FAVORITE PART, INTRODUCTION TO MAGIC NOTES! from reese <333 lab ya reese :3. It was so funny when reese ripped jacobs old magic note cover.... RIP. it.. will be missed. It was aabsolutely unexpected.=!! Anyways I also played my ukulele to valerie, cassell and jacob at night time when we were sitting out side. WE ALSO HAD A CRRAAZY ROLEPLAY... where shadow was dating this girl and that girl cheated on him with sonic and shadow had to go to his therapist aka knuckles and so Shadow decided to fly out to mexico or somewhere in search for a new lover. Also the first night all the girls slept in the big room. and the 8th graders scared the 7th graders.. it was pretty funny. CHOPPED OH MY GOD THAT ROACH.. thank god it died. also.. EMMA IS ONE OF MY MOST ESTEEMED, DETERMINED, and HARDWORKING... WORKERS!

DAY TWO: I actually woke up a little bit before the time we were supposed to wake up and honestly I dunno why I have so much energy when I wake up.. Like sometimes I just find things really funny.. honestly I find everything funny.. seeing how irritated everyone or mostly everyone was from waking up was pretty funny... TALENT SHOW!! that was my favorite.. sadly period 5 didn't win anything BUT the good thing is that we all had fun and WERE THE MASTERS OF IMPROVISIIATION. like we literally took it and went with it :3. LOL BUT YEAH TALENT SHOW WAS REALLY FUN!! also we played uno and I LITERALLY DISLIKE UNO SOO MUCCH LIKE jk i love uno. Staying up at night too was really fun. SWIMMING TOO! me and emma got stuckk.. we even when down the waterslide.. my ass hurts.. anyways ouch! and YAY! we roleplayed again which was really fun too!!

 DAY THREE: it felt unrealll.. anmyways we roleplayed with the toys and played cards which was really fun. I really liked leilani's breakout session it was fun putting a lei together <3. and i played my ukulele again it was really fun :3 I also told my evil past backstory to the 7th graders.... lol! my favorite part was the ride back home especilaly talking to emma and we talked to each other but we didn't even know what each person was talking about. and cassells concert was funy.

HIGHTLIGHTS & LOWLIGHTS::

Mostly all the time during the breaks! it was really fun just like being able to learn more about people. Cause when you mostly meet people you kinda assume who they are, what they act like, but learning more about their reason and perspective for certain things really changes your point of view. Another highlight was that sonic book, one of the few sonic content keeping me sane. I reread a total of 13 times. Another highlight would be just talking and chatting about things as we played cards. Another one of my highlights was the debrief, especially when Ms Shayna said we were weird... that was funny. One of my finall and majority highlights has to be reading the magic notes!  I really loved reading the magic notes especially the ones from alumni and 7th grade. I really enjoyed writing them too. Lowlight no bananas. and thats all.

LESSONS LEARNED::

My lesson learned from this retreat is that not everything is as bad as it seems. BEfore retreat started or even begun, I heard that some people felt nervous about going and were uncertain about how to feel. Reading janzen's magic note and hearing him mention that 8th grade was his favorite year, I honestly want to make my last year here worth it too. Another lesson learned is mostly about who I am today. I never realized how inspiring or outgoing I am with others and how the impact affects them. Compare myself to a year ago, I was afraid to be well.. me and mostly was insecure and less "me" than I am today. Overall, I really wanna make my 8th grade year worth it and try as much as I can.
