What is up yallzers! I’m back with wacky blogs :3! IN this case a SECOND SUMMER bloggg. Anyways overall this summer was pretty fun and flew by (bc I was actually doing thinggss lmaaooooo)… I actually got the chance to do things and most importantly focus on myself!’ Anyways…thinking about this summer makes me think about last year. . .and how shy I was! I remember going to the cafe and cassell being the only one I knew… My goals for the summer were to be less shy and to learn to make conversation with people I barely know. Last year I remmeber being so self centered when I started the leadership program. As I constantly reflect, I realized that my mindset has changed soso much in just a year. Looking back I doubt 7th grade me would even try to talk to the 7th graders now. I would probably just keep talking to cassell and play games. . . Lols!
SUMMER BRIDGE:
Anyways onto summer bridge!! The first day of summer bridge was quite quiet honestly!! Me and all of the other 8th graders were looking forward to meeting the 7th graders sosososososos much!!! On the first day We played pickle ball!! We also worked on our bridge notebooks. I remember the first day I knew majority of the 7th graders names but I'm not good with faces. . . so I only knew Emma and I think Ariya. I thought the 7th graders were gonna be boring at first but I didn't let myself assume much because after all I didn't really know KNOW them! I couldn't even match their faces up with their names. . . ! We did many fun activitesss one of them was magic carpet. . . WJHY WAS IS SO MUCH EASIER THAN LAST UEAR? I remembered carry mal last year on my back BUT OUR CARPET STILL RIPPED>>> but this year I was carrying naomi and it was littearlly EASSY Also my group for that activity was me naomi and emmaa!! I missed a day or two for bridge sadly but we got to do blind drawing and. . . I WAS SUPPOSED TO DRAW A JELLY FISH BUT UHM IT LOOKED LIKE A UFO. but its okay because my jelly fish came from outtar space. . plus valerie made a special silly bee. . . My least favorite activity of summer bridge has to be making the short videooss.... but for the Dos and Donts one, EMMA PANTSED ME. (as a joke ofccccc_0) Valerie's editing is top tieerrr (we had to draw in emma at the end of the bideo :SOB:_) OH WE ALSO HAD A LOCK DOWN THAT DAY LMAO. We also did the connect four flag game . . . DUDE I THOUGH MS SHAYNA WAS GOING TO SAY "whoi was the first presdient" because that question STUMPED ME LAST YEAR. Anyway Cassell needs to take better care of the flags HE WAS uhmm sorTa Angry. Frsibee golf was pretty funnn but taking it apart...(mikayla me and val sounded constipaeted..._) BUT MY MOST FAVORITE HAS TO BE CAPTURE THE FLAG and THE SWAMP MEEETT!! I got a dinosaur bag at the swamp meet and I bought my friend their birthday gifft :3 CASSELL I WANT MY $20 DOLLARS BACK... OMG I ALSO SAW MY BEST FRIEND KYLIE... its been so long since we;ve seen each other in person considering that she goes to IPA and I got 'Ilima... But I'm glad shes doing good as treasurer at school ;3! Capture the Flag had... some injuries lmaoo BUT OVERALL IT WAS PRETTY FUNNY..On the last day of bridge we played volleyball... PEOPLE WERENT RUNNING FOR THE BALL :( but its okay!!!!!! On the last day of bridge the 7th graders were more talktive and we played roblox together and stuff (I LOVE DTI GUYS.) Anyways comparing it to the first day, more talkative / noisy and we grew way more closer than the first dayy... OH ALSO WE WENT 711 AND STUFF AFTER BRIDGE SOMETIMESSSS :3 funsieess!! Oh also the people painting murals did sucha great jobb it looks soo goododd 😋😋

HIGHTLIGHTS & LOWLIGHTS::
'This summer acutally had many many highlights dude. . . one of the biggest ones being well I actually was PRODUCTIVE! Normally I spent my free time last year sorta just wasting around and doing nothing! But I was sosos productive lowkey the most productive I've been on things that I work on personally like my art and animation! Also speaking of productive I even learned how to play certain parts of some songs on my guitar. One of them is the intro Harness Your Hopes by Pavementt. I really enjoy playing my guitar its like a outlet for me tbh like I plan on devoting lots of time to it. It really helps me just calm down because I can just block out everything and listen to only my guitar. . . Also another highlight of the summer has to be just showing up to summer bridge and workdays. It helped me keep my sleep schedule somewhat consistent and I'm still able to wake up pretty early. Showing up to bridge and workdays also made my summer more eventful and I honestly don't remember having this much fun ever ESPECIALLY IN SUMMER. last year was.. . . alrigghtht.... anyways another highlight was working on my bio cube and cubby tag and bridge notebookk and basically setting up things for the school year. I really love the way I made all of my things this year (its all matching :3_) In addition to summer bridge, another highlight of summer was when we played pyschiatrist and Cheyanne said... SOEM PRERTTY SILLY THINGS. . . (cheyanne is so funny) Moving along the end of summer was another major highlight of the summer. We did tons of things like play in the sand and play volleyball. . . anyways One of the things I thought was most fun was sharing biocubes. My reason being is because I got to talk to Gabby! She gave me advice for the school year and commented on my biocube then we just talked about random stuff too. It was honestly really helpful and reassured me about my position this year. . . THANKS GABBY! This summer was pretty relaxing! I got to get new clothes--NEW SHOES... (mines were litterally so messed help me) and I even got to make new friends with the 7th graderros. . . For lowlights.. I dont really have much honestly.. one of them has to be not waking up to my alarm TWICE on schedule pickup days. it lowkey pissed me offff....... sigh. ANyways moving on the last week of summer had to be my worst damn week ever. Like I don't know why it suddenly went down hill like that but on the very last day od summer... things started looking up and I felt better. still that had to be my worst week so far. I don't even recognize who I was or what kind of state of mind I was in to just think of thsoe things. I think it was just burnout.. but who knows.
LESSON(s) LEARNED::
As we know.. time goes on and change happens. inevitably . . .time waits for no one. That is one of the biggest things I've learned. I need to realize that I need to move on and realize our "8th" graders aren't here to pave the way for us anymore no matter how much I miss their random, silliness and fun... and now that we have to learn to set the example for our 7th graders. and DONT BE LAST! Thats another lesson I've learned. Along with that I learned that I need to try not to overwhelm myself. I tell this to myself again and again, I make lists, steps, and simplify but I for some reason keep getting these random periods of just burnout and frustration. But I just think that I need to organize my mind and the information I take it to feel more in control. ANotehr thing I learned is that people don't just i nstantly start talking. This was when the 7th graders on the first day were so quiet.... like they didnt say much... I also learned that we shouldn't be so uptight all the time!! I dislike being uptight and so serious and it just makes the air heavy. I know when to be serious but when were serious during times when we can let loose... it makes me uneasy to a certain point.. I also learned the importance of opening up. I'm really stubborn and always handle my problems myself on my own time or just bottle it up. But that leads to me just well CRASHING OUT YKWIM>... sigh but Its important to talk to someone but anotehr thing thats important is that words don't always help someone. Sometimes people just need a favor a shoulder to rely on to make their day better than it was before. and that summarizes majority of the lessons ive learne dthroughout this summer. !!! Anyways thanks for reading yallzersss :3.
