Weekly Blog #8 : MAGIC HATS (9/25-9/29)
This week… — 💤💤
Was super-duper busy…I was extremely exhausted. I felt like a walking zombie… Anyway, this week I did many things!! One of the things that happen at the beginning of this week was that Strictly Ill began!! I’m having fun but I’m still a slow learner…which is frustrating when everyone else catches on so quickly… Moving on, I WENT ON TV!! On Tuesday, I went on TV, and it was actually easy. Don’t know what I was so nervous about... ALSO!! I wore a wizard hat and a crown hat on TV! I also even said "Tubular" on TV. WHAT DOES TUBULAR MEAN...Moving along!! Everyone kept saying "I saw you on TV!!" Working TV wasn't that bad at all. On Thursday, we had our first Family Nite of the school year and another Linner! Family nite was so sillay! Mal and Mikayla were hurting the babies instead of helping them... Also, I got some great photos!! Me and Mal helped out at the Art Booth! It was REALLY messy... I got my Yellow Tee all wet and stained... But art is messy so I'm not that mad about it. My mom also came to Family nite...SURPRISINGLY!! Afterwards she told me she had a lot of fun. I was glad my mom goes to have fun and take a break from all her work! The art she made from the water marbling activity the art booth was doing was really nice.
Multiple Highlights… —
...of my week is that I went on TV this week. It was actually pretty cool and simple. All I had to worry about was messing up on a word or missing something. Another highlight of my week was that I got ungrounded... At least for now! In addition to me being temporarily ungrounded. . . I got to finally make an intro! I got to make Cassell's "party" themed intro BUT I had to use it for Alex since Biaani didn't make an intro my her... But that's alright! Also, this week, I got sunglasses and a whistle from family nite. My mom got the whistle for me...THANK YOU MOM!!! I helped out at the art booth, and it was a bit messy but fun. This week wasn't that bad.
Couple Lowlights… —
...of this week was that I was extremely exhausted and almost burnt out. I kept falling asleep throughout the class periods... Another lowlight of this week was that my group had to present in social studies BUT my group just DIDN'T TALK AT ALL... I was trying to communicate with them, but they just would not talk!! On Monday and Tuesday, I couldn't really get the choreography down as quickly was my other friends... It was sort of frustrating and annoying but it's okay since I'm still learning! I'm sure as long as I practice, I'll get faster and memorize more.
Lesson Learned… —
Have a positive mindset on learning and don't be too hard on yourself. Through the few practices for Strictly Ill, I learned that I need to accept the fact I'm still learning. It won't get easier unless I practice. That's basically what practice is for! To make sure I get better, faster, and to try new things. It's not like I could have learned the violin within 24 hours. That is impossible and that's why people practice getting better.
